Another puggy gift for a friend from a pug board I frequent! This is little Lemon wearing her Halloween costume!
I am seriously hating my scanner. For once I do something that I'm proud of, but the scan doesn't nearly begin to do it justice. And the painting doesn't begin to do Lemon justice! She's just a DOLL.
Watercolor and some india ink on 140 lb rough press watercolor paper.

What my father figured out was if you can't get out, you just either blow something up, or you eat something, or you just throw penguins in the air.
Wow, that's a total suprise - I didnt know you could paint! I guess roomed with Graver you'd have to! >_> Like secret hand shakes or something. Anyhow, lovely painting - and somehow being on the internet as long as I have or think I have, I'm still vaguely amazed that there is such a thing as a 'ug board', and a little bit more so that someone I know frequents one. And there's 22% of me right now that thinks it may be sexually related.
But lovely painting! I do like how you were very sparing with the lines you added to it
You've never even LOOKED at my gallery, have you? *runs away crying*
And you sicko! Pugvillage (yes, that's what it's called, don't judge me!) has nothing to do with sex!!! ....well....there is a breeding section, but it's strictly pug-on-pug And with as many health problems as these little guys have, it's good to have a place where some 2,000 people can tell you that you're not crazy, and yes they ARE supposed to snore like that.
Graver and I had a bit of a discussion about the lines. He didn't want me to ink it at all, but I just HAD to put some lines in there or my head would have exploded. And I don't think Patrick the Roomba could have handled that by himself.

I guess I havent looked >.>; the only thing that comes to mind when I think about you is a flood of hillarious chibis!
And I think I'm the same way with lines, though I guess with a solid enough painting you shouldn't feel compelled to add in all the linework. I've seen alot of artists out here who even using photoshop phased out all their lines like that. Maybe its all the comic book and manga type stuff I've grown accustomed to, getting rid of the lines would just make me so unhappy.
Although now that I think about it, now that its something you're comfortable with you must now FORCE yourself to do a drawing that ends up without having any lines in it! For PROGRESS!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
